The miracles in Īle continue - the first international artists
The renovation works at the church started a year ago are nearing completion. A new roof has just been put on the church and the first season of the ĪLE Acoustic Concert Hall will start at the beginning of next year. More information can be found at www.ile.lv.
On August 20 this year at 8.00pm the Charité Choir Berlin (Charité Chor Berlin) will perform at the acoustic concert hall ĪLE under the leadership of artistic director Adrian Emans. The choir will perform together with BALSIS Youth Choir, artistic director Ints Teterovskis, conductors Kamila Siliņa and Georgs Zujevs. The Berlin Charité Choir will perform German classics from Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schuman and Albert Becker, while the youth choir BALSIS will perform the choral music of Emīls Dārziņš, Imants Kalniņš, Andrejs Sējāns, Jāzeps Vītols and other composers. Both choirs will sing Ārijs Škepasts arrangement of the Latvian folk song I sleep (Es gulu, gulu) together.
In the 10 years of its existence, the Berlin Charité Choir has gained an important place in the palette of German choral culture. The choir regularly organises concerts in Berlin, participates in competitions, commissions new music, is invited to perform internationally, and cooperates with other musicians, the Babelsberg Film Orchestra.
Concerts involving the participation of foreign musicians will be held regularly on the first Saturday of the month in the ĪLE Acoustic Concert Hall.
The concert is organised by SIA "Balsis" in cooperation with the Ile Lutheran Church Foundation.
Tickets: "Biļešu Paradīze" ticket offices and bilesuparadize.lv.
